- TRHL7 - MBNL Rigging & Heavy Lifting (2 Days), valid for 36 months

In addition, the certificate issued with successful completion of this course will detail the height of the structure trained on as well as the working loads used, as part of the practical element of the course; (both theoretical and practical).

- Height trained on – 15m

- Working load trained on – up to 225kg (capstan winch system)

- Working load trained on – up to 125kg (manual lifting systems)

The two-day MBNL Rigging & Heavy Lifting course is designed to ensure delegates are able to:

  • Understand and apply relevant legislation, safety standards and responsibilities for rigging and lifting activities.

  • Plan and prepare lifting operations, including assessment of loads, selection of appropriate equipment, and environmental considerations.

  • Conduct pre-use inspections of lifting gear and accessories to ensure safety and compliance.

  • Demonstrate safe and correct use of lifting and rigging equipment such as slings, shackles, pulleys, and braking systems.

  • Lead and execute lifting tasks at height with proper communication, exclusion zone control, and safe practices.

  • Build practical confidence in rigging tasks specific to telecom sites (e.g., lifting antennas, steelwork) while working at height.
