Introduction
This BS ISO 22846 Rope Access supervisors 4 Day course for people required to supervise operatives who use abseil techniques in order to gain access to and work in difficult to access locations. The course complies with British Standard ISO 22846 Code of Practice for the use of rope access techniques.
Supervisors will also be trained to manage all aspects of rope access operations including rope system preparation and rescue preparation and implementation.
A look at the aims of rope access, equipment used and practical training in ascent/descent. Looking at rope set ups and knot work
More advanced rope access skills—rope to rope transfers and bypassing knots. Roof edge deployment and rope rescue Training. Mechanical Advantage 3:1 and piggy back rigs.
Ascent and descent incorporating a chest ascender and rescue technique.
Aid climb and rescue technique.
Assessment of skills and knowledge by an external assessor
